Playstyles and modes
Form and mode are different. Answering Form is the starting form; Formshift enters Illumining Form. Your selected Resonance Mode changes how those forms gain resources and swap with teammates.
Electro Flare · one field window
Start here with Electro Rover and a healer. Rage applied by the team becomes Hsin’s Heart of Thunder, up to 100 stacks. Build and spend both Heart meters on Hsin before the final Liberation.
Rover has a dedicated passive interaction: their Intro grants both Electro Rover and Hsin 20% Electro DMG for 7 seconds. Team Flare applications also activate Hsin’s mode passives.
Unison · swap out and return
Playable now with Jinhsi and Shorekeeper or Verina. Hsin’s Formshift grants a short Unison handoff; Jinhsi returns that handoff so Hsin’s Illumining Intro starts the enhanced attack window immediately.
Suoming is a Phase II preview partner. Her planned route remains separate from these currently playable teams.
Before fighting: choose the Resonance Mode in game to match your team. Changing it clears mode resources and buffs. The rotation buttons below change this guide’s instructions.
Skill priority
For Unison: raise Intro after Forte and Liberation, before Normal Attack and Skill. Its repeated enhanced Intros matter in the Jinhsi route. Unlock both combat Inherent Skills as part of either build.
Many of Hsin’s biggest attacks count as Resonance Skill DMG even when activated by holding Normal Attack or pressing Liberation. Damage type and the talent that levels an attack are separate: level Forte and Liberation first.

One continuous Hsin damage window. Set up your support and Electro Rage partner first, then enter Hsin with Intro.
- 1Intro → Basic 4Intro gives 60 Answering Heart and lets Flare Hsin follow directly with Basic Attack 4. Build the meter to 100.
- 2Hold attack → FormshiftAt 100 Answering Heart, hold Normal Attack for Realm Wanderer / Realm Protector. Then press Liberation for Formshift; this creates 21 Edict stacks and enters Illumining Form.
- 3Skill → Basic 1, 2Use Illumining Skill, then Basic Attacks 1 and 2 to create and collapse the Heartlock. Flare’s once-per-Formshift collapse bonus supplies 150 extra Illumining Heart; reach 300 before the next step.
- 4Enhanced Skill → Basic 1–4At 300 Illumining Heart, Skill becomes Pillars Aligned. Use it, then complete the enhanced Basic chain to spend the meter during the 13-second Mechanism Dominion window.
- 5Hold attack → Pillars Across HeavenAfter spending Illumining Heart, hold Normal Attack for Beholding / Stilling All Horizons. This unlocks the second Liberation; cast it to return to Answering Form.
- 6Echo and OutroUse your active Echo during Hsin’s buffed window when safe; it is not required to unlock either form. Hand off with Outro when Concerto is ready.
Let Heartward by Moon reach its last hit if you are cashing out Heart of Thunder. Swapping or ending that Skill early cancels its Flare trigger. Finish the empowered Heavy Attack and second Liberation before ending the main window.

Two Hsin entries, with Jinhsi between them. Unison can trigger Intro/Outro without spending a full Concerto bar.
- 1First Intro → Basic 3, 4In Answering Form, Unison Intro leads into Basic Attack 3. Continue through Basic 4 and reach 100 Answering Heart.
- 2Hold attack → Formshift → swapSpend the full meter with Realm Wanderer / Realm Protector, then Formshift. After the preceding Intro, Formshift grants 5 seconds of Unison: use that window to switch to Jinhsi.
- 3Jinhsi damage window → Unison handoffPlay Jinhsi’s Incarnation / Illuminous Epiphany sequence. Switch back to Hsin while Jinhsi has Unison so Hsin triggers Unison Response and her enhanced Intro.
- 4Second Intro → enhanced Basic 1–4Hsin’s Illumining Intro gives 300 Illumining Heart and directly enters Mechanism Dominion. Skip the Flare build-up; use the enhanced Basic chain to spend the meter.
- 5Hold attack → Pillars Across HeavenSpend all Illumining Heart, hold attack for the empowered Heavy Attack, then cast the unlocked second Liberation. Return to your support setup for the next loop.
The first swap happens after Formshift, not after Pillars Across Heaven. The returning Illumining Intro supplies the full second meter. Keep the two entries separate; changing Resonance Mode clears Unison and its supporting effects.
Start here if you just pulled Hsin
- Choose Electro Flare if you have Electro Rover and Buling or Suisui. Choose Unison if you have Jinhsi and a healer.
- Equip a leveled Rectifier and a complete Heart of Sworn Vigil set with the correct main stats.
- Practice reaching 100 Answering Heart, then 300 Illumining Heart. Finish the empowered Heavy before each Liberation.
- Learn the sequence at S0 before comparing damage numbers or spending for duplicates.
Team compositions

Mode partnerRover (Electro)Keep the handoff together
HealerSuisuiHealing and team supportElectro Rover supplies Electro Rage for Heart of Thunder and has a dedicated Electro DMG interaction with Hsin. Suisui heals and supports the Negative Status route. Set Rover to Electro; another Rover form does not fill this slot.

Mode partnerJinhsiKeep the handoff together
HealerShorekeeperHealing and team supportJinhsi already has Unison. Hsin hands over after Formshift, Jinhsi uses her damage window and Unison handoff, and Hsin returns directly into Mechanism Dominion. Shorekeeper covers healing and team buffs. Do not use the uninterrupted Flare rotation in this team.

HealerBulingHealing and team supportKeep Electro Rover’s Rage setup and use Buling for healing and Skill-focused support. DPR’s comparison uses S6 Buling; fewer Sequences change her contribution. A practical roster option, not a promise of premium-team damage.

HealerSuisuiHealing and team supportLynae provides general damage support while Suisui supplies healing and Negative Status support. This is a listed Flare route, not an Unison team. Use Hsin’s full on-field Flare rotation.

Mode partnerJinhsiKeep the handoff together
HealerVerinaHealing and team supportThe same two-entry Hsin/Jinhsi Unison plan with Verina as healer. Hsin’s Soaring Pillars are coordinated attacks, which also matter for Jinhsi’s Incandescence. Keep both damage windows and their handoffs.
More Flare options: Chisa with Suisui. Electro Rover + Chisa is also documented by DPR, but lacks a dedicated healer. Iuno and Rebecca are Heavy Attack supports and are not listed as Hsin’s recommended core partners here.
Hsin guide overview
Hsin is an Electro Skill damage carry with two combat forms and two separate Resonance Modes. Electro Flare is a continuous on-field route; Unison uses two entries around a partner’s damage window. The largest difference is when you switch characters: Flare finishes the full window; Unison swaps after Formshift and returns for the second half.

Sequence overview
S0 has the complete rotation. Expand each node for its live effect and what changes between modes.
Sequence effects
S1A Boat to Cross the Rising TideProtection and a mode-specific damage boost; starts Flare combat with at least 50 Heart of Thunder.+
Formshift grants two Radiance Ward stacks. An enemy hit can spend one stack for interruption immunity and 60% damage reduction for 1 second, at most once per second. Returning to Answering Form clears the stacks.
Unison: Manifold Unison Intro multipliers gain 15%, plus 10% per Unison Boon stack, counting up to four stacks.
Electro Flare: entering combat raises Heart of Thunder to 50 if it is lower, once every 12 seconds. Heartward by Moon’s Flare trigger uses 42% × Heart of Thunder stacks × the multiplier of the enemy’s current Flare stacks. This replaces the S0 coefficient of 35%.
S2To Wake Is to Wonder What I AmStronger empowered Heavy Attacks and a faster opening meter.+
The multipliers of both Answering empowered Heavies and both Illumining empowered Heavies increase by 60%. Their damage is still classified as Resonance Skill DMG.
Entering combat resets the cooldowns for Resolution of Wishes and Law of Heaven and restores 100 Answering Heart. This combat-entry effect can occur once every 12 seconds; it is not a free reset on every swap.
S3A Dream of Return Among the HillsA stronger final Liberation, with different bonuses for Unison and Flare.+
Pillars Across Heaven’s multiplier increases by 70%.
Unison: the finisher gains 20% Crit DMG plus 15% per Unison Boon stack, counting up to four stacks.
Electro Flare: if the final hit lands on an enemy with Flare, it triggers an extra Flare instance at 1500% of the multiplier corresponding to that enemy’s current Flare stacks. This is a multiplier change, not a claim that total team damage rises by 1500%.
S4A River of Lanterns, a River of WishesTeam-wide 20% All-Attribute DMG Bonus for 30 seconds after listed mode actions.+
The whole team receives 20% All-Attribute DMG Bonus for 30 seconds after a team member applies Electro Flare or Electro Rage, newly gains Unison, or triggers Unison Response.
S5Forms Turn as the Heart WillsDefensive comfort: damage reduction and one fatal-blow recovery per 10 minutes.+
Hsin takes 20% less damage in Illumining Form. Once every 10 minutes, a fatal blow instead restores her to full HP and grants damage and interruption immunity for 1 second. This does not replace a healer for the team.
S6The Moon Owes Its Light to the LivingSkill vulnerability and DEF ignore, plus a mode-specific Unison or Flare bonus.+
Enemies take 40% more Resonance Skill DMG from Hsin, and her Skill damage ignores 20% of their DEF.
Unison: raises the team’s Unison Boon cap by another stack and grants another stack for 30 seconds when the team triggers Unison Response; this effect does not stack with itself.
Electro Flare: nearby enemies’ Flare damage can Crit at a fixed 80% Crit Rate and 230% Crit DMG. Those fixed Flare values are separate from Hsin’s normal character-sheet Crit stats.
Paraphrased from live Encore game records checked October 1, 2026. These are kit effects, not guaranteed whole-team damage gains.
Build and farming priority
- Raise character and weapon levels for base ATK; unlock the combat Inherent Skills.
- Raise Forte and Liberation first. For Unison, raise Intro next; for Flare, invest in Normal Attack before the regular Skill.
- Farm the five-piece Heart of Sworn Vigil set with the listed main stats. Balance combat Crit Rate before chasing more Crit DMG.
- Check repeat rotations and add ER only if needed. Improve ATK% and Skill DMG rolls after that.
Hsin materials: Bloom of Hearkening, Solidarity’s Loneflame and Autopuppet Kernels for ascension; the String series, Autopuppet Kernels and Remnant of the Wheel for talents. Her signature weapon uses the String series and Exoswarm Cores. Select your current levels and targets in the planner for exact totals.

Hsin FAQ
Which Hsin mode should I use?
Use Electro Flare with Electro Rover, Lynae or Chisa and an appropriate support. Use Unison with Jinhsi and a healer, following the two-entry rotation. Suoming is an upcoming Unison partner, not a requirement to play Unison today.
Why is my second Liberation unavailable?
In Illumining Form, reach 300 Illumining Heart and enter Mechanism Dominion, spend the meter with the enhanced attacks, then hold Normal Attack for the empowered Heavy. That Heavy unlocks Pillars Across Heaven. Pressing Liberation before it unlocks can change your form instead.
Do Heavy Attack or Liberation DMG substats help her finishers?
Realm Wanderer / Protector, Beholding / Stilling All Horizons and Pillars Across Heaven deal Resonance Skill DMG. Skill DMG Bonus is the relevant damage-type substat for these actions, even though their buttons are Heavy Attack or Liberation.
How much Energy Regen does Hsin need?
About 110% total is a starting point from the current Tethys guide. Test repeated loops with your actual team: add Energy Regen if the second Liberation is delayed. The DPR sheet’s roughly 108–109% setup is a WIP calculation assumption, not a universal minimum.
Is Blooming Jadehaven required?
Use Heart of Sworn Vigil with Reminiscence: Suhsin the Inevitable in the active slot, a 4-3-3-1-1 cost pattern, and Blooming Jadehaven if owned. Lethean Elegy, Stringmaster and Cosmic Ripples are sourced 5-star alternatives. Fusion Accretion is an unranked 4-star stopgap.
Should I pull Sequences before finishing the build?
Hsin’s full basic rotation works at S0. Start with levels, core talents, the complete Sonata and appropriate main stats. S2 and S3 change important damage multipliers and S6 is a major kit upgrade, but live percentage gains are not established here. S5 is primarily defensive.
Does Moon Fox mean I can skip a healer?
No. Moon Fox restores Hsin’s HP outside combat; Liberation is disabled while she is in that form. Bring team sustain while learning her combat rotation.
